    Cool! But, need some program for beginner. And, what to do if your flexibility is like wood after monthes of stretching due to palvic assimetry? Even when I was 7 years old and started to attend karate, sitting in kiza position was painless, you feel like your fingers want to crack and switch out of the foot)) and it's still so, you trying to sit in it every day, breez slowly, 3 sets for 30-60 sec every day and no progress, every day like a zero day, like you go in the cold swimming pool first time))

    As pro K1 fighters we currently do: 5K run once a week Hill sprints x10 twice a week Skipping 3x3 rounds thrice a week 20 mins of sparring thrice a week 60% pads thrice a week 100% pads, 3x15 rounds once a week We havent gassed yet. Format is 3x3 K1 rules. Breathing and efficient movement were taught as we were becoming fighters. What do you think of this?

    The lightest kick consumes alot more than our heaviest punches so... let me add something please: Pick your tools wisely. Sometimes it's better to use a nutcracker to crack nuts than insist on using a claw hammer.

    Thank you for the information.Your words have more than the ring of truth.Muhammad Ali once said he always keeps his hand relaxed, and only makes a fist when he is going to throw a punch.Otherwise you would burn up too much energy if you kept your fist clenched all the time.

    In Capoeira I find it very intense if you're playing fast, and the solution for me was simply training the same thing again and again. The body is wonderful and can adapt if you keep training. I'm 52 now and can play with a 20 year old who is much fitter than me, just cos I'm much more efficient with kicks.

    When I did Jump Rope something cleared up inside of me I could feel it. After that my stamina went up like crazy. I went from stuggling with 30-40 jump ropes in a row to hundreds without stopping. I kept it up by doing Jump Rope on the regular. Squat Thrusts("Burpees") Planking. Those are the 3 exercises you need to slay the demon that is Sloth.

    Thank you for this!!! I recently started back in Muay Thai; I've been training on and off for 25 years. A lot of my training returned to me after a few classes. I've also been doing a lot of HITTS for about three months, which has allowed me to hang with the conditioning of the advanced courses. I noticed today that I was sluggish during the pad drills; part of it was due to my right leg recovering from a hamstring pull a few Saturdays ago. My knee and tibialis have been tight, too, which has been annoying to loosen up. I've been subconsciously thinking about that leg, which made me tense up during the drill. Anytime I did a shin check, I would feel the soreness, but what you've explained clicked in my head. I need to work this leg out, which would allow me to relax overall. It wasn't so back a few days ago, but from time to time, it tends to have a mind of its own. I've been following you for a while now; great work, and thanks again for the information.

    • @grantstevensma
      @grantstevensma 6 днів тому

      Awesome brother! Yeah through my experience I've noticed that overwhelmingly what we think is the cause of something, which informs what we think is the solution, is usually off base which results in suboptimal results. As I mentioned most people think it's just doing more cardio or something, but it doesn't work like that.

    Can overstate how right the RELAX factor is . Thanks to have great instructors who ingrained that in me early , to this day at 58 I can be completely out of shape and still just go run 2 miles or put in a heavy bag workout without gassing out. You get to where you can pretty much regulate how much energy you burn by choice.
